Fill the included 0.6 ohm pod with a 50/50 liquid, let it soak, click it in and inhale. The Xros 5 Mini reads the pod and picks the power for you; your only job is setting the airflow slider.
The short version
- The kit comes with a 0.6 ohm Corex pod and a USB-C cable.
- It takes every Corex pod from 0.4 to 1.2 ohm and sets the power automatically.
- Use 50% VG with the 0.6 ohm pod and 70% VG with the 0.4 ohm pod.
- The 1500mAh battery recharges in under an hour over 2A USB-C.
What comes in the box
The Vaporesso Xros 5 Mini contains the device, one 0.6 ohm Xros Corex pod, a USB-C charging cable and a user manual. The pod holds 2ml and has a built-in Corex 2.0 mesh coil.
The device packs a 1500mAh battery, big enough for at least a full day, and it recharges in under an hour thanks to 2A fast charging. It weighs only 50g and is just 1.4cm thick.
There is no fire button: the Xros 5 Mini is inhale activated. An LED tells you when the battery is low, and an airflow slider on the side lets you tune the draw from tight to loose.
Filling the pod and getting started
Fill the included pod with e-liquid, insert it into the device and inhale. Before that first puff, though, give a brand new pod about five minutes to let the cotton in the coil soak. It is the single biggest thing you can do to avoid a burnt taste on day one.
When you click the pod in, the Xros 5 Mini detects which pod you have chosen and outputs the best power level to match. No menus, no buttons, no guesswork.
Charge it before your first proper session if the LED shows low. The included cable makes that easy, and a full charge takes less than an hour.
- Fill the podAdd 50/50 e-liquid to the 0.6 ohm pod.
- Let it soakWait about five minutes before vaping.
- Click it inThe device detects the pod and sets the power.
- Set the airflowSlide the side control tighter or looser.
- InhaleDraw gently; it fires automatically.
Which Corex pods fit, and their power
The Xros 5 Mini works with all of Vaporesso's Xros Corex refillable pods. Each has a built-in coil, so when one burns out you swap the pod rather than fiddling with coils.
Because the device sets the wattage itself, picking a pod is really picking a vape style. The 1.2 and 1.0 ohm pods give a tight MTL draw at low power. The 0.8 and 0.6 ohm pods are warmer and airier. The 0.4 ohm pod, sold separately, runs at 30W for an RDTL vape with more cloud.

The right e-liquid for each pod
The included 0.6 ohm pod works best with 50% VG e-liquid. That covers most nic salts and 50/50 freebase, which wick quickly and keep the mesh coil fed.
The 0.4 ohm pod is best paired with 70% VG. It vapes at higher power and makes more vapour, so a thicker liquid works and lower nicotine strengths feel right. A 70% VG liquid at a low strength is the usual choice there.
Nicotine is addictive, and the stronger the hit per puff, the more you notice it, so drop the strength when you move to a lower resistance pod.
0.6 ohm pod: 50/50
Recommended for the included pod.
0.4 ohm pod: 70/30
Recommended for RDTL with the 0.4 ohm pod.
Battery tips and three common problems
- Burnt taste from a new pod: it was not soaked. Fill it, wait five minutes, and keep it at least a third full.
- Too airy or too tight: adjust the airflow slider on the side. Most MTL fans like it nearly closed with the 0.6 ohm pod.
- Leaking into the airflow: often from overfilling or very hard draws. Fill to just below the top and draw gently.
The 1500mAh cell lasts a day for most people. Charge before the LED warns you, and keep the device out of hot cars to protect battery health.
What is happening?
The coil was not soaked. If it is only slightly harsh, refill and leave it ten minutes. If it stays burnt, replace the pod and prime the next one properly.
Move the airflow slider. Closed is tighter and more cigarette-like; open is looser and cooler.
Draw more gently and avoid overfilling. Remove the pod and blow lightly through it to clear the excess.
Charge the battery first. If it is still weak, the coil is ageing and the pod needs replacing.
Who the Xros 5 Mini suits
The Xros 5 Mini suits anyone who wants a slim, light refillable pod kit with zero menus. Fill it, set the airflow once and forget about it. The automatic power and huge pod range make it great for beginners and a reliable backup for seasoned vapers.
If you want selectable power modes and a button, the full-size Xros 5 adds Eco, Normal and Power settings. For a screen and a bigger battery, see the Xros 6.
All three take the same Corex pods, so you can upgrade without wasting spares.
