Caliburn G3 Lite

How to use the Uwell Caliburn G3 Lite: buttonless and refillable

3 min readUpdated 3 Oct 2026By the Spectrum Vaping team

Top-fill the pod, pop it in, and Smart Mode chooses the wattage before your first inhale. There is no button at all on the G3 Lite, which is either its best feature or its only quirk, depending on you.

The short version

  • Comes with one 0.9 ohm Caliburn G3 pod for a discreet MTL vape.
  • Takes Caliburn G3, GPP and GPP Alpha pods; Smart Mode sets the wattage.
  • Use 50% VG e-liquid with every pod.
  • 1200mAh battery; a USB-C cable is not included.

What is in the box

The Uwell Caliburn G3 Lite contains the device, one 0.9 ohm Caliburn G3 pod and a user manual. There is no charging cable, so you will need your own USB-C lead.

The device houses a 1200mAh battery that will last up to a day between charges, and its output tops out at 25W, enough for MTL and RDTL depending on the pod. It weighs 47g and has an e-liquid viewing window plus an LED battery indicator.

At under ten pounds, it is one of the cheapest ways into a well-known refillable pod system.

Filling the pod and first use

The pods have a top-filling design, so you do not even need to remove the pod from the kit to fill it. Fill to just below the top, close it up and give a new pod five minutes to soak before vaping.

Thanks to the buttonless design, using it is simple: pop your pod in and Smart Mode selects the correct wattage for the coil. Then inhale on the mouthpiece.

The viewing window lets you see when it is time to refill, and the LED keeps an eye on battery life. Plug in with a USB-C cable when it runs low.

Which pods fit

The G3 Lite works with Caliburn G3 pods, Caliburn GPP pods and Caliburn GPP Alpha pods. Each has a 2ml capacity and a built-in coil, so when the coil is finished you replace the whole pod.

The included 0.9 ohm pod gives a discreet MTL vape. If you want more vapour, the listing suggests the 0.6 ohm version. G3 pods also come in 0.4, 0.8 and 1.0 ohm, and GPP pods in 0.4, 0.6, 0.9 and 1.2 ohm.

Keep in mind the G3 Lite tops out at 25W, so lower resistance pods rated higher than that will run below their maximum. Browse spares in the Uwell pod range.

E-liquid and nicotine

Whichever pod you choose, Uwell's listing recommends a 50% VG e-liquid. That covers most nic salts and 50/50 freebase, both of which soak quickly into small coils.

For the 0.9 ohm MTL pod, a 10mg or 20mg nic salt gives a smooth, cigarette-style hit. For the 0.6 ohm pod, which produces more vapour, many people go lower. Nicotine is addictive, so stay at a strength you know.

Leave thick 70/30 liquids for sub ohm tanks. In a G3 pod they wick too slowly and cause dry, harsh puffs. If you like fruit, start with strawberry flavours.

The G3 Lite ratio

50/50 (recommended)

50% VG50% PG

Suits every Caliburn G3 and GPP pod.

70/30 (avoid)

70% VG30% PG

Too thick for these pods.

Three common problems and battery tips

  • Burnt first puff: the pod was not given time to soak. Refill, wait, and keep the level above the coil's wicking holes.
  • Leaking: overfilling or very hard draws. Fill to just below the top, close the port, and draw gently.
  • Weak vapour: the battery is low or the coil is ageing. Charge first, then swap the pod if it is still flat.

The 1200mAh battery lasts up to a day. Charge with a decent USB-C cable before it is completely empty, and keep the device out of heat to help the cell age gracefully.

Your new G3 Lite pod tastes burnt on the first puff. What went wrong?

Who the G3 Lite suits

The Caliburn G3 Lite is for vapers who want a cheap, light, buttonless refillable kit with access to a big range of pods. It is ideal if you are moving away from prefilled devices and want to pick your own liquid without learning menus.

If you want a screen, a fire button and adjustable wattage, the Caliburn G3 Pro takes the same pods. For a rival at a similar price, the Voopoo Argus Z2 has a bigger battery.

Either way you get a refillable system with cheap pods and liquid you choose yourself.
