How to use the Hyola Ultra 30K: two flavours, one twist

3 min readUpdated 3 Oct 2026By the Spectrum Vaping team

Fit the refill pack into the top, inhale, and when you fancy the other flavour, lift the mouthpiece and turn it half a circle. Two pods live in this device at once, which is its whole party trick.

The short version

  • Two 1ml prefilled pods plus two 9ml containers: 20ml of 20mg nic salt in total.
  • Lift the mouthpiece and rotate it 180 degrees to swap flavours.
  • Each pod has a dual mesh coil and the kit is rated up to 30,000 puffs.
  • No USB-C cable in the box.

What you get

The Hyola Ultra 30K vape kit contains the device, two 1ml prefilled pods, two 9ml refill containers and a user manual. That is 20ml of e-liquid in total, rated for up to 30,000 puffs.

Each Edition pairs two flavours. The Juicy Edition has Peach Ice and Mango Ice, the Mint Edition has Classic Menthol and Strawberry Mint, and the Yellow Edition has Banana Ice and Melon Ice.

The battery is a built-in 800mAh cell, and the device weighs 119g, so it has a reassuring heft. A USB-C cable is not supplied.

Fitting the refill and switching flavours

Assemble the pods and refill containers, then insert them into the top of the Hyola Ultra 30K. It is inhale activated, so just puff on the mouthpiece to start vaping.

To swap to the second flavour, lift the mouthpiece and rotate it 180 degrees, which is half a full turn, then push it back down. The device now draws from the other pod.

Switching between two flavours is also a quiet way to stop flavour fatigue, that dull feeling when one taste starts to blur after a few hours. Alternate an ice flavour with a fruit one and both stay sharper.

  2. Rotate 180 degreesTurn it half a full circle.
  3. Push it back downSeat the mouthpiece firmly.
  4. InhaleYou are now vaping the second pod.

Coils, liquid and strength

Each pod houses a dual mesh coil. The larger heating surface means more liquid is vaporised per puff, which boosts flavour and vapour while keeping the discreet MTL draw. Airflow is fixed.

All refills are 20mg nic salt. Nic salt feels smoother than freebase at this strength. Nicotine is addictive, and 20mg is the legal maximum in the UK, so this is a kit for confident vapers rather than first-timers at low strengths.

When both pods are finished, replace the pack with new Hyola Ultra 30K refills. The range covers fruit fusions, sodas, menthol and ice blends; peach flavours are a good place to start.

Battery life tips

The LED display on the front shows battery level, so you will always know when to recharge. With 800mAh on board, the listing says it should last all day for most vapers.

Get more from each charge by drawing at a steady pace rather than chain vaping. Mesh coils heat quickly, and long gaps let the wick refill, which also protects flavour.

For long-term battery health, recharge before it hits empty, keep the device out of heat, and avoid leaving it on charge for days at a time. Use a reliable USB-C cable rather than one that only works at an angle.

Hyola battery habits

Three common problems and fixes

  • Tastes like the wrong flavour: the mouthpiece is between positions. Lift it, rotate it fully to the 180 degree mark and seat it firmly.
  • No vapour: the refill pack is not fully inserted or the battery is flat. Reseat it and check the LED.
  • Burnt or weak taste on one side: that pod is running low or has been chain vaped. Switch to the other flavour while it recovers, and replace the pack when both are spent.

Keep the top clean and dry; a little liquid around the mouthpiece seat can make the rotation feel stiff.

Hyola Ultra quick fix

What is the problem?

Who the Hyola Ultra 30K suits

The Hyola Ultra 30K suits vapers who get bored of one flavour, or who like an ice blend in the morning and fruit later. Having two pods on board is the selling point, along with a big total puff rating and zero maintenance.

It is heavier than most big puff kits at 119g, and nicotine is fixed at 20mg. If you want a lighter device with the same two-in-one idea, the Hayati Pro Ultra Plus uses a similar twist mechanism.
