How to use the OXVA Xlim Pro 3: screen, wattage and Xlim pods

3 min readUpdated 3 Oct 2026By the Spectrum Vaping team

Fill an Xlim pod without taking it out, inhale, and the Xlim Pro 3 sets its own power. Want control? A press of the button lets you pick the wattage, and the colour screen shows it all.

The short version

  • Comes with 0.6 ohm and 0.8 ohm Xlim pods, both best with 50% VG.
  • Auto power by default, or set your own wattage up to 30W with the button.
  • The 1.05 inch colour screen shows battery, power and puff count.
  • Works with Xlim Unitech 3.0, Xlim V3 and Oxva EZ pods.

What is in the box

The OXVA Xlim Pro 3 vape kit contains the device, a 0.6 ohm and a 0.8 ohm Oxva Xlim pod, a USB-C cable, a user manual and a warranty card.

It runs on a 1500mAh battery that should last all day and recharges in under an hour. The output goes up to 30W, and the front carries a 1.05 inch HD colour screen that shows battery level, power settings and your puff count.

It weighs 77g and is 1.5cm thick, so it slides into a pocket easily despite the screen.

Filling the pod and getting started

Xlim pods are top filling, so you can refill them without removing them from the device. Open the fill port, add e-liquid until it is just below the top, and close it again. With a brand new pod, wait around five minutes before vaping so the built-in mesh coil soaks.

Then simply inhale. The Xlim Pro 3 is inhale activated and, by default, sets the power output to suit the pod you have fitted.

Use the airflow slider to choose how loose or restricted the inhale is. Closed suits the 0.8 ohm pod for MTL; more open suits the 0.6 ohm pod.

Auto or manual wattage, and which pods fit

Leave it alone and the device picks the power for your pod. Or use the button to choose your own wattage and find your ideal level, watching the change on the screen.

The Xlim Pro 3 takes Xlim Unitech 3.0, Xlim V3 and Oxva EZ pods, each in four resistances. The 1.2 ohm pod is for MTL, the 0.8 ohm does MTL or RDTL, and the 0.6 and 0.4 ohm pods are for RDTL.

Keep manual wattage inside each pod's recommended range. Spare Xlim V3 pods come in packs of three.

0.8 ohm (included)12 to 18WMTL or RDTL
1.2 ohm10 to 12WMTL

E-liquid choice

OXVA recommends pairing every Xlim pod with 50% VG e-liquid, even the 0.4 ohm. That keeps things simple: one type of liquid works across the whole range.

For the 0.8 and 1.2 ohm pods, a nic salt gives a smooth MTL hit at 10mg or 20mg. For the lower resistance pods, which make more vapour, many vapers choose a 50/50 freebase at a lower strength. Nicotine is addictive, and more vapour per puff means more nicotine at the same strength.

Avoid thick 70/30 shortfills here; they do not suit these pods and can cause dry hits.

Three common problems and battery tips

  • Burnt taste: manual wattage set above the pod's range, or a new pod not primed. Return to auto power, or stay within the ranges above, and let new pods soak.
  • Leaking from the fill port: the stopper is not fully closed. Press it home after every refill.
  • Battery not lasting: higher wattage drains it faster. Use auto power and check the screen's battery reading.

Charge before it runs flat and keep it out of heat to protect the cell. The under-an-hour recharge makes a lunchtime top-up easy, and the screen tells you exactly how much charge is left, so there is no excuse for being caught out on the way home.

Xlim Pro 3 quick fixes

What is the issue?

Who the Xlim Pro 3 suits

The Xlim Pro 3 is for vapers who want a pod kit with a proper colour screen and manual wattage, but who also like the option to just fill and inhale. The top-fill pods and the puff counter are thoughtful touches.

If you would rather have Boost and Eco modes, OXVA's NeXlim is worth a look. If you are weighing it up against Vaporesso, the Xros 6 offers a similar battery and screen.

Both are solid daily drivers for MTL and RDTL vapers, and both use cheap replaceable pods with built-in mesh coils.
