50,000 vs 70,000 puffs sounds like a landslide, but the useful number is liquid: 44ml in the HQD box and 36ml in the Pyne. The HQD is also £1 cheaper. The Pyne fights back with three flavours, dual wattage and a lighter body.
The short version
- HQD Glow Air 70K: £11.99, 2 x 2ml pods plus 4 x 10ml containers (44ml), 850mAh.
- Pyne Pod Click 50K: £12.99, 3 x 2ml pods plus 3 x 10ml containers (36ml), 750mAh.
- The Pyne is 19g lighter and has dual wattage; the HQD has fixed airflow.
- On liquid per pound, the HQD wins comfortably.
What is in each box
These are the biggest puff ratings in our big-puff range, so it is worth being precise about what you are buying.
The HQD Glow Air 70K comes with two 2ml prefilled pods and four 10ml refill containers, 44ml in total. The Pyne Pod Click 50K includes three 2ml pods and three 10ml containers, 36ml in total, with each pod and container set rated up to 10,000 puffs.
Both are 20mg nic salt, both are inhale activated and both deliver a discreet mouth to lung draw.
Neither kit asks you to touch a bottle. When the pod runs low, it draws from the container clipped alongside it.
The maths that matters
Puff ratings are worked out by the manufacturer under their own test conditions, usually short and gentle draws. Nobody vapes like a test rig, so treat them as relative rather than literal.
Liquid is the honest measure. The HQD gives you 44ml for £11.99, about 27p per ml. The Pyne gives you 36ml for £12.99, about 36p per ml. Both include the device, which is why they compare so well with buying liquid alone.
For context, the Lost Mary Nera 30K works out at about 54p per ml. These two mega-puff kits are much better value per millilitre, as long as you enjoy the flavours they come with.

Battery and handling
The HQD carries 850mAh against the Pyne's 750mAh, both enough for a typical day. Pyne quote just under an hour for a full charge.
The Pyne's dual wattage setting is the only adjustable feature on either kit. It lets you choose a gentler or a stronger hit, which is handy if the default feels a touch too intense with 20mg nic salt. Nicotine is addictive, and 20mg is the strongest strength you can buy in the UK.
The HQD is 104g, the Pyne 85g. Neither is heavy, but the Pyne is noticeably slimmer in a jeans pocket.

Flavour variety
Variety is where these kits differ in a way you will feel every day. The Pyne includes three pod sets, so each box gives you three tastes to rotate between. It comes in 27 editions, including Lemonade, Lime and Pineapple.
The HQD pairs two flavours per box, such as Grape GB and Strawberry GB, or Fresh Mint and Lemon Lime, with four containers between them. HQD pitch it as a kit that lets you switch between flavours easily, and the pod swap is quick.
Replacement packs for each are in HQD pods and Pyne Pod pods.
What do you want most from the box?
HQD Glow Air 70K, about 27p per ml.
Pyne Pod Click 50K, with three pod sets.
HQD Glow Air 70K
The HQD comes in flavour pairs including Mixed Berries and Cherry Berry, Kiwi Passionfruit Guava and Strawberry Kiwi, and Mr Blue and Mr Blue Razz Ice. Each pairing gives you two tastes to switch between across four containers.
Fixed airflow means no fiddling: the draw is set for a tight mouth to lung pull. If you like a looser draw, this is not the kit for you, but for people coming from single-use devices it feels instantly familiar.
The 850mAh battery is the larger of the two here, and the device is built to be recharged for the long haul.
Pyne Pod Click 50K
The Pyne Pod Click comes in 27 editions, from Blue and Red to Cherry and Lemonade. Three prefilled pods and three containers come in the box, with each set rated up to 10,000 puffs.
The dual wattage switch is a nice touch at this price, and the device takes just under an hour to charge from flat over USB-C.
